  • Société Francophone de Maillardville

    Founded in 1983, La Société Francophone de Maillardville promotes and enhances French-Canadian language and culture through a wide-range of programming and services enjoyed by Francophones, Francophiles and Anglophones across BC’s Lower Mainland. Realize Strategies was engaged by La Société to conduct a comprehensive community and facility needs assessment to help guide the future development and growth of the organization’s programs and services.

  • BCNPHA

    BCNPHA provides services to over 500 non-profit housing and healthcase services across BC, providing excellent cost-effective services to members is at the core of their mandate. We worked with BCNPHA to help them plan and implement a captive insurance company- an innovative approach to providing insurance to non-profit associations.

  • Actsafe

    Actsafe is BC’s motion picture and performing arts Health and Safety Association, ensuring thousands of employees come home safe each day. Realize was tasked with finding Actsafe a new Training & Industry Services Leader following the retirement of a 25-year tenured employee. Realize helped Actsafe grow and shape their organization through this search. Following the search, we were also engaged to do further strategic development and HR work with Actsafe.

  • The John Howard Society

    The John Howard Society of the Lower Mainland of BC provides assistance with housing, life-skills, and community-based support, with the goal of assisting individuals to value their positive contributions to society. A long-standing client, Realize has conducted a number of projects for JHSLW spanning from drafting critical HR documents to facilitating meetings and training events, support with change management, and executive recruitment.

  • S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

    S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is one of BC’s largest social service agencies, with a vision to create “a world of multicultural harmony”. Realize facilitated a strategic planning session for S.U.C.C.E.S.S., helping the executive management team to create a plan for the future that captures the unique opportunities and strengths of the organization.

  • Out on Screen

    Realize assisted OOS in an executive search for its new leader. We recognized the unique culture and business needs of the organization and helped the Board to secure a leader that fit its needs. We also provided governance, PR and branding support. 

  • Family Services Canada

    For more than 25 years, FSC has been representing the concerns of families and community-based social service agencies across Canada. Realize worked with FSC’s executive committee to organize its largest annual event, the Executive Leadership Conference. We helped orchestrate a vibrant event focused on thought leadership. Realize also helped FSC recruit an operational leader for future organizational needs.  

  • BC Tree Fruits Co-op

    BC Tree Fruits Co-op is owned by over 500 local grower families and works to promote, package, and transport BC’s Tree Fruits. Realize worked with BC Tree Fruit’s Board of Directors and senior management team to help ensure their governance practices meet the needs of one of BC’s largest and longest standing co-operative enterprises. 

  • Employment & Skills Development Canada

    Realize was hired by ESDC to investigate and develop a national branding strategy on Social Enterprise.  Using global best practices, Realize created a comprehensive strategy for ESDC, which could help position Canada as a recognized leader in the area of Social Enterprise.

  • Bard On The Beach

    In 2013, Vancouver’s Bard on the Beach turned to Realize for help with designing a stronger, more resilient and financially sustainable organization. Working closely together with the Board of Directors and various levels of Management, Realize re-configured the organization’s financial systems and budgeting practices; re-positioning the company for continued growth and prosperity.

  • Inclusion BC

    Realize has been honoured to have a long-standing relationship with Inclusion BC. Most recently, we helped Inclusion find a new Director of Resource Development to lead their fundraising initiatives in a powerful new direction.

  • BC Libraries Co-Operative

    Complex organizations need clear strategies and goals to make them successful. Realize was hired by the BC Libraries Co-operative’s Board of Directors to develop a clear, measurable plan of action to achieve the Co-operative’s stated goals and facilitated the development of a three-year strategic plan.

  • BC Association Of Farmers’ Markets

    Getting the right people in the right positions, is a challenge that every organization faces. In 2013, Realize was asked by the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets to improve the design and structure of their organization due to their rapid growth and success.

  • Sole Food Street Farms

    Urban farming isn’t just a business; it’s a passion to transform the world in a positive meaningful way. Yet materializing such dreams requires money, as well as a good working plan. Realize was instrumental in helping SFSF develop the business plan that landed them the financing they needed, to make their dreams come true.

  • Family Services Of Greater Vancouver

    FSGV plays a vital role in improving the lives of families throughout the Vancouver area. Realize has been honoured to assist FSGV with numerous projects over the past decade. Most recently, Realize performed a comprehensive review of FSGV’s financial systems and produced a list of recommendations in order to make the systems more robust and sustainable.

  • Modo

    Finding great talent is a real challenge, especially when that talent needs to lead an emerging company in a competitive marketplace. Realize was instrumental in the recruitment of Modo’s new visionary CEO, the person capable of driving forward Modo’s vision of becoming a household name in the Lower Mainland.

  • PLEA Family And Community Services

    Non-profits often grapple with the challenge of communicating an effective and results oriented message to donors, media and especially the wider community. Realize helped PLEA develop their communications strategy, including the key messages that essentially drive an effective communications plan. The result was an increase in their profile within the local community and greater revenue for their vital programs.

  • Farm Folk City Folk

    FFCF is one of Vancouver’s most respected leaders in urban farming. However in an economic downturn, even well established organizations are adversely affected. FFCF turned immediately to Realize for practical advice on how to best handle the volatility and uncertainty during the recent downturn, so that they could continue their vital role in building BC’s urban agriculture movement.

  • Museum Of Vancouver

    Cultural institutions play a major role in making Vancouver a vibrant, livable city. The Museum of Vancouver recently needed a plan to help them protect and grow their 115-year story as a key Vancouver cultural attraction. In 2010, Realize worked alongside MOV to create a concrete sustainability plan for the organization’s next 3- 5 years.

  • bc211

    bc211 is a Vancouver-based non-profit that specializes in providing information and referral regarding community, government and social services in BC. Realize has sent in staff to assist the organization during leadership transitions, acting as interim Executive Director on two occasions over the past ten years. In this role, Realize provided much-needed stability during transition periods. Realize has also worked with bc211 to develop new strategic plans.  

  • Tourism Langley

    Tourism Langley is the destination marketing organization for Langley and Fort Langley – two vibrant and growing communities in BC’s Fraser Valley offering a wealth of tourism opportunities to visitors and residents alike. Realize Strategies assisted the Board of Tourism Langley to achieve their vision of organizational excellence. Our team worked with the Board to affirm a culture of strong corporate governance. Realize also worked with the Board to conduct a comprehensive Executive Director performance review. Our goal to ensure the Board and staff had a solid organizational foundation in place to continue delivering high quality services to Langley and Fort Langley’s vital tourism community.
